In solving murders Justin has the edge he has been a soldier for the Crown and though 'retired' from that position, is known to have been dedicated, trustworthy, competent and well thought of by superiors and inferiors alike. While Justin is all a man of his time and class should be, his niece Anthea knows how to play the accomplished young lady with all the airs and graces while harboring a hoyden deep inside who wishes adventures, travel and explorations before settling down as a respectable matron.

Lady Anthea and Lord Justin are a great pair of detectives among the elevated members of British society, having access to drawing rooms at every level. Since this is the third book in the Rutherford series (three is not enough), I am making this a summary review.
